Up to 10 MB in total. Posh refuses an empty file.

Can I make one report from several files?

Yes. Drop up to 12 files at once, or a ZIP of them, up to 10 MB together. Posh reads them as one pack, and each fact says which file it came from.

Can I use a Google Sheets link instead of a file?

Yes. Paste a Google Sheets, Docs, or Slides link into the paste box. The file must be shared as anyone with the link. Posh downloads it the way Google's own Download menu does; a Sheet comes in with every tab.

Can it read Excel files with more than one sheet?

Yes. Posh reads every sheet in the workbook row by row and labels each one by its sheet name before sending the text to Posh AI. If the text is longer than 80,000 characters, Posh AI receives the first 80,000.

It reads the value each formula cell last saved, not the formula itself. If a workbook was not recalculated before it was saved, the saved value is what Posh sees.

The PDF goes to Posh AI as the file, so scanned pages are read as images of the page. How well a scan reads depends on the scan. Check the figures in the draft before you send it.

When the facts in a report are amounts, the report can show a small bar chart built only from those printed numbers. It is labelled as numbers already on the report, not a new estimate.

Yes. Export the report as a PDF, Excel, or CSV file and drop it, or export it to Google Sheets and paste the link. Posh has no live connection to Xero or QuickBooks, so it only sees the file you give it.

Preserve lays out your own words in the report format. Editorial lets the model tighten the prose. Both are told to copy facts from the file.

Is AI good with numbers?

AI models can misread or misstate numbers. Posh tells the model to copy each fact exactly as the file states it, then checks every fact against the file's own text and flags any it cannot find. You should still read the report before it goes to a client.

It can. Posh's instructions say a fact must be copied from the source and a number must not be invented. After writing, Posh compares each fact with the file's text and marks any value it cannot find as Not found as written. The source check line above the facts gives the count.

Can I see where each figure came from?

Each fact shows a source note, such as a page, a sheet and cell, or a line, and a mark: In the file, Not found as written, or Not checked. The mark comes from Posh matching the value against the file's text, so a figure the model worked out itself, such as a margin, shows as not found.

Start with the source check line and any fact marked Not found as written. Each fact shows where it came from. Highlight anything you want to change and add a note, then edit or run the report again. Highlights and notes need a sign in.

Posh AI can read financial files and write plain explanations of them. It is not an accountant. Posh formats and explains; it does not audit and does not give financial advice. Treat the report as a first draft you review.

Save a client setup with a house rule such as Australian spelling, and Posh passes it to the model for every report for that client. Without one, the model may use either spelling.

When the file has two periods or budget and actual, the report shows a What moved table. The model copies both values from the file; Posh calculates the change and the percentage itself, so that column is never the model's arithmetic.

Posh does not train a model on your files, and it does not send a training setting when it calls its AI provider. This site has not checked the provider's current terms, so it makes no claim about what the provider does. The privacy page names the provider, and its terms are the place to check.

If you are not signed in, Posh does not save the file or the report. If you are signed in and storage is set up, Posh saves the report and a copy of the file. There is no automatic deletion period.

A stored upload is kept in Vercel Blob with a public link. Anyone who has that link can open the file. Pasted text is kept in the database instead.

TPB(GS) 55/2026, issued 22 July 2026, says a tax practitioner must not disclose client information to a third party without the client's permission unless a legal duty requires it, and that this can include putting client information into an AI tool. The trust page summarises it with a link.

Do I need to update my engagement letter for AI?

The TPB guidance says permission can be an engagement letter, a signed consent, or another communication. The trust page has draft wording in your practice's voice that describes where a file goes in Posh. It is not a Board template and not legal advice.
